The Woodstock Arts hosts cultural entertainment focused on many types of artistic expression. The stage and green are located on the former Reeves family farm. The house, which dates back to 1898, and the barn are original to the site.

Theatre

The Award-winning Woodstock Arts Theatre hosts a variety of amateur and semi-professional shows. With six theater productions per year, iThink Improv Night, and open auditions, you can be as involved in the theater as you choose to be. You can see all six shows with a season pass, enjoy some interactive comedy at Improv Night, or audition for a part in an upcoming event.

Music

Music performed on the outdoor stage is meant to incorporate different genres into the community through the Lantern concert series. The goal of this concert series is to help musicians from different cultures, backgrounds, and ideologies find a common ground with the rest of the community in and around Woodstock.

Visual Arts

Visual art exhibits are hosted in the Reeves House and Mary F. Kish Center. These galleries showcase local, regional and national artwork on a rotating basis. Challenging the notions of what art can be, there are a variety of works presented that range from the traditional to the modern including new technologies and mediums. There are also opportunities for local artists to display and sell their works fair-style on the Event Green.

Education

If you or someone you love has an interest in expanding your art knowledge, the Cultural Arts Village is a great place to get started. There are a variety of classes available that range from acting and singing to sculpture and painting. For a more structured program of learning, there are theatre summer camps for children ages 5-13. Children will learn the art of performance through song, dance, and acting as they develop teamwork, speaking, and improvisation skills. Each camp includes an end-of-camp performance. Finally, the Spotlight Program is an opportunity for students who have gone through the Collage Series program to highlight and hone their skills. They perform Main-Stage quality productions that are meant to challenge their responsibility and commitment.
